The
management team of NanoSpective
has experience in both industry and academic
materials science applications. The team has experience in
multiple materials systems including semiconductors, glass and
ceramics, metals, and polymers.
Brenda Prenitzer
President and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Prenitzer holds a B.S. in Chemistry
and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with the Materials
Science option. Both degrees are from the University of
Central Florida. Her materials characterization experience
includes a total of eight years with transmission electron
microscopy (TEM), including conventional bright and dark field
imaging (CTEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (X-EDS),
scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM), electron
energy loss spectroscopy (EELS), energy filtered transmission
electron microscopy (EFTEM), and electron holography, six
years with Focused Ion Beam (FIB), six years with scanning
electron microscopy (SEM), two years with thermal analysis,
and five years with wet chemical techniques. Her professional
and research experience includes three years of industry
experience at Agere Systems using TEM in the evaluation of
integrated circuit and opto-electronic devices and the
constituent materials, a post-doctoral position with a one
year tenure which was collaboratively sponsored through Lucent
Technologies and UCF's Advanced Materials Processing and
Characterization organization (AMPAC), two years of experience
at the University's Center for Research and Education in
Optics and Lasers (CREOL), and two years at UCF's Materials
Characterization Facility (MCF). Dr. Prenitzer's areas of
technical expertise include the theory and application of
ion-solid interactions that govern FIB processes, optical and
electronic materials. She is the co-author on over 45
publications, and has presented at numerous national and
international conferences.
Dr. Prenitzer's responsibilities
with NanoSpective include providing vision and direction for
the company, identifying new and existing markets,
advertising, public and client relations, and providing
expertise primarily in the area of TEM analysis and expertise
secondarily in the areas of SEM and FIB analysis.
